Dwarf team complete

Well I finished my female Dwarf Bloodbowl team. They came out rather well and I admit to enjoying painting these. Each model pose is different, so that really makes the team cool to handle. They are definitely painted up well and the figures really responded with shading, washes and the colour scheme. These were actually enjoyable to complete. However, I put 3 coats of varnish on them and I dislike varnish as even the paint on stuff still has a little tendency to go opaque and spoil the figs. But being blood bowl they need a good varnish to survive being laid down on the table during the game.

So below is the team shot, including the 2 star players I painted – the Axe lady (hey it will be a chainsaw in the game but it’s close), and a bomber player, with a lit bomb ready to throw:So for a few close ups. First is my favorite of the team, the cutie with an Axe, trying to look all innocent for the ref. 🙂Then of course the lady driver. The 1st edition Deathroller I got from ebay and with a little modification it fitted a team member as a driver. The model is even ‘showing the hand’ so it fitted in perfectly for this converstion. Oh and yes, I can see the jokes around the table now when this model is used:And finally a close up on the positional players in the team – 2 Blitzes (left) the Berserkers (center) and the Runners to the right.

Well more later.

Looking sweet Mark. Might I recommend a quick shot of testors dullcote to get rid of the shine. It works amazingly well!
