Orcland Raiders team ready to play ball

Being an Oakland Raiders fan there was only one team and set of colours which my Orc team had to be painted as. The black and silver of the Raiders. There was no choice really.

So the team from the base Blood bowl set which are the simple static plastic sculpts  become the Raiders. I did get a second set of figures (like the human’s painted and shown previously) so a full squad could be made from a friend. The models are OK but not great and again these have been languishing in the back of my painting area for a while. So in the aim of getting some projects completed I thought I’d pull them out and paint them. Nothing too flashy and I just went for a simple, but I think effective paint job and even the bases are just rocky area’s with a few strands of grass.

So the team shot. The Bloodbowl players out there will note note there are no Trolls or Goblins in this team. That’s on purpose, and we’ll see how they play as a pure Orc team – but as the Raiders I felt adding such things would not go with my ‘theme of the team’:

Then closeup’s of the positional players – first the linemen:

Then the throwers:

The Blitzers on the team – the potential stars really:

And finally the Black Orc’s – the thugs of the Raider Nation:
