A few more Prussians

Well I thought I had finished with the Prussians, but decided to do a few more as I still have models left. These are needed if I want to use the army for the Shako 2 wargame rules set, or if I want to play with all the models in Lasalle. So, I though it better to do them now, while I still remember how the others were painted. This means they match the existing troops!

All these are an OK standard but, definitely good table standard. All are Battlefront figs and are fairly poor/small, with limited (or fine) cast detailing painting, so  picking out the details on the figures is somewhat hard. The unit is also true 15mm – maybe even a little smaller, so no 18+mm giants here.

So first some commanders. Note, the guy on the right is really out of uniform (with the Bicorn hat), as Prussian commanders were supposed to ware the regulation hats – but I liked this model and it adds a little character.

And a unit in an irregular/skirmish formation – this is not a common formation for the Prussians but they did use it, so it’s worth having some troops based as such (and needed for the Shako rules).
