Dreadball Corporation Team

Here is another Dreadball team completed. It’s been a little while since I posted something – unfortunately I have been quite busy at work so painting takes a back seat for that as you would expect. I have completed the Corporation team from the basic Dreadball kickstarter. They are also done in very characterful colours – several different shades of blue with a distinctive white helmet.
Male Corporation TeamThis time, I purposely finished these guys with a gloss varnish. I wanted to have them in different colours and a distinctive finish, especially with blending the different blues in the uniform. The shine/sheen on them provides that very different effect as a finished team and is different than the other teams. So in this case the photo shine is quite life like. These guys are meant to be from money though, so that makes sense (to me at least).Corporation Team frontI also did the player numbers in Roman numerals for their identifications.  This seemed more in character for these players and a little different than the other teams.Corporation Team - backSo to the specific close in shots of the players. First the Strikers, the ball carriers. They have a ball controller on the right hand, highlighted in white and with a magnet added by me.Corporation StrikersI tried to make each helmet unique for these players as you can see.Corporation Strikers - topThen the Jacks. These again have somewhat unique helmets but these have more details in the models so it was easy to to make the helmets stand out. You can also see the magnets added to the figures as well again with white highlights on the controller.Corporation JacksLastly, the guards figures. These are the hard men of the team, but also the most detailed in helmets. No magnets are required on these figures as they are not able to pick up the ball.Male Corporation Guards front Male Corporation Guards backAs always for my teams, the players can hold the ball with magnets, as can be seen below. The figures do seem designed to take such magnets as they fitted perfectly into the models!Corporation Striker with ballSo, this is now 3 of the 4 first season teams completed and ready for games. Still although nice models, they did take some cleaning of excess flash though but I think it was worth it in the end.
