Cryx HellDiver

Continuing the slow work on my Cryx models, here is another DeathJack completed. This is a different scale than the cowboys that I have been focused on for a while as well. This one is a digger – i.e. it can dive underground as it’s activity if not in combat. I guess that makes it pretty immune to shooting and spells, as it’s not on the table to be targeted! This is a bit of an ugly duckling model but I wanted to make it a little different and so when from very red/bloody tusks vs. just a bone colour. That seemed to work out ok.Helldiver2 (640x586)The model is an interesting one an a very compact shape for the range, which seems to have some very large and ‘spread out’ models in their poses. It’s another interesting one though in a combination of bones and metal. It looks like a nasty horror beast. I’m not a great Warmachine player as the rules are a little too complex compared to games I like to play, but I do like the miniatures and they paint up nicely.
Helldiver2You can see that this fits into the normal colour schemes for my Cryx models. This is a medium base model so is not as big as some of the other Jack models in the range. I’ll have to work out how to use this on the table but it seems like it could be fun.Helldiver1 (640x263)So there we are, a small update for another model ready for the table. I’m not sure if I’ll use this for other games or not but it was a fun model to finish.

  1. Nice! The helldiver can be a sweet little assassination piece, btw.
